Alfie Patten (13) is not baby's father test shows

A DNA test has shown that another teenager, 15-year-old Tyler Barker, is the biological father of Maisie Stedman, who was born on Feb 9 this year.
Alfie Patten, the schoolboy who believed he had become a parent at the age of 13 is not the baby's father, it can be reported today.
The case prompted a national debate about morality and teenage pregnancy.
Maisie's mother, Chantelle Stedman, 15, was said to have conceived the child after sleeping with Alfie Patten last year, when he was only 12-years-old.
The Children's Secretary, Ed Balls, said that his reaction on seeing photographs of Alfie cradling Maisie as his daughter was to think: "It's not right, this looks so terrible."
The Tory leader, David Cameron, said that the case raised "worrying" questions about modern Britain.

Baby-faced Alfie Patten did NOT father a baby girl at 13, we can reveal following a court judgment.
The real dad of schoolgirl Chantelle Stedman's three-month-old daughter Maisie Roxanne is schoolboy Tyler Barker, 15.
Official confirmation of the child's paternity can be revealed following the results of DNA tests.
It followed the Mirror's exclusive story last month when we first revealed that Alfie was not the real father, nailing another far-fetched claim by a downmarket tabloid.
Earlier this year the real father, a soccer-mad 15 -year-old, claimed he that he had unprotected sex with Chantelle, 15, on just one occasion.
And Tyler broke down in tears and said his life was ruined when he first spoke about his fears that he was Maisie's real dad.
The stocky teenager sobbed as he told how he had lost his virginity to Chantelle after spending the night drinking with her at her mother's home in Eastbourne, East Sussex, last May.
Tyler said, :"I did not use any contraception but Chantelle told me that she would take the morning after pill.
"I thought she would take care of it.
"She might have, I don't know.
"I only slept with her the once.
"Now I'm terrified that I could be the daddy and I'm not the only one.
"ll my mates have been teasing me but it's not funny
At the time Tyler's father Chris Ireland, 44, who coaches the Eastbourne Colts under 15's football team, accused Chantelle of seducing his son.
He said:"Tyler was drunk the night he had sex with her.
"He was a virgin and she just, from what he says, she kept baiting him by saying 'I'll make it easy for you. I'll will show you how to do it. I will teach you how it is done.'"
"He was only 13. He knows the actual date he had sex with her.
"It was May 14th last year because we had done a football tournament and it was after the tournament which we had done very well in.
"So after that I allowed him to stay out all night with his friends.
"I knew they were going to a party but I didn't know they were drinking heavily."
Chris, who called for an inquiry into the affair, added: "He's devastated and has broken down in tears at the thought that he might be the baby's father.
"Far from bragging about it, he thinks he is life has been ruined by this."
The riddle over Maisie's real father was sparked shortly after she was born weighing 7lb 3oz at Eastbourne District General Hospital on February 9 this year.
However serious questions were raised about whether Alfie, who would have been just 12 when the child was conceived and who is shy and immature, could in fact be the child's father.
Six young lads then came forward to claim that they had also slept with Chantelle at around the time she would have conceived.
However Chantelle, backed by her mother Penny, 38, insisted that Alfie was the father and that she had no other lovers.
Four foot-tall Alfie, from Hailsham, East Sussex, was said to be devastated by claims that he was not the father of Maisie who friends said he 'adored.'
He insisted: "I am the only boyfriend Chantelle's had and we've been together for two years.
"I must be the dad."
In late February, Alfie and Tyler's parents finally agreed that both boys should take a £300 DNA test to resolve the paternity issue.

    Airbus A350 Wins EASA Certification

The Airbus A350 has been given a type certificate by the European Air and Space Agency (EASA), moving Airbus’ next generation airliner one step closer to entry into service (EIS). EASA released a type-certificate data sheet (TCDS) for the A350-900 variant Tuesday, in effect allowing the A350 to begin carrying passengers once delivered to airlines.
Both 268-ton and 275-ton variants of the A350-900 were certified, though at present, no 275-ton variant exists. At present, no approval has been given for the A350 to begin Extended Range Twin Operations (ETOPS) services, but Airbus says that the paperwork for ETOPS approval is ready and should occur shortly. Of note, Airbus’ initial certification will use Nickel-Cadmium batteries instead of the Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) ones that were planned. The Li-Ion batteries, which cause significant challenges for rival Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner, will be re-added to the A350 beginning in 2016.
Based on statistics from the TCDS, Airbus’ initial A350s will be about 3 tons overweight; not ideal, but half as much as Boeing’s 787s. Airbus is incorporating weight reduction processes into its production, and should be able to meet design specifications soon. According to Airways News sources, only 20-25 initial airframes will be overweight, while the remainder will meet targets.
The A350′s smooth certification program is a welcome contrast from the challenges that have befallen other new-build aircraft certification programs (most notably the Boeing 787 and Airbus A380) this decade. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification is expected within the next couple of days as well, and the A350 will continue to progress to EIS.

It Only Took 10 Years for the Summer Olympics Stadiums in Greece to Turn into THIS…

These photos of the abandoned Olympic facilities in Greece just ten years after the 2004 Summer Olympics blew me away. It was only ten years ago when these facilities were built. And now look at them:

This is the abandoned Olympic Aquatic Centre just 10 years after the Greece Olympics.

Many seats were stolen from the arena…

… and vandalism covers the Olympic village.

You wouldn’t want to swim in the Olympic pool…

… and this is the former canoe slalom track.

The canoe course sits empty without water, completely unused.

It’s sad what happened to the Olympic village, considering all the millions of dollars that were spent.

What a disgraceful waste! But there is something hauntingly beautiful about these photos. It reminds us that nothing lasts forever. And I think that’s something worth sharing.
